Overview
A phase-locked loop with switched-filter design keeps the 5004 stable in electrically noisy environments. Four-pole terminals support soil-resistivity, touch-potential and touch/step potential measurements.
The instrument runs from 120 VAC or eight rechargeable AA batteries, inside a rugged aluminium alloy case weighing 3.1 lb. It is supplied with auxiliary electrodes, test cables, a charging power cord, manual and a NIST-traceable calibration certificate.
