Overview
The STS100B350DIX belongs to AMETEK's STS-100 series of reference standard probes, which serve as the reference instrument when verifying true temperature in hand-held, liquid bath or dry-block calibrators. The 6.35 mm sheath leaves room for the sensors under test in a dry-block well while keeping response time short.
The sensing element is a suspended platinum coil embedded in ceramic inside an Inconel 600 sheath, and every probe is aged at 650 °C before calibration to remove initial drift. Resistance is converted to temperature according to IEC-751 (ITS-90), and the specified low hysteresis and drift keep measurement uncertainty low between recalibrations.
