Overview
The Ametek Jofra STS200A916EH Temperature Probe is a member of the JOFRA STS-200 series of superior reference temperature sensors. This version pairs the A-type 4 mm outer-diameter sheath with a 90° angled design and 167 mm probe length, sized specifically for RTC-158A and RTC-158B dry-block calibrators. The angled form lets the reference sensor and the sensor under test sit in the same thermowell or calibrator block at the same time, even when the test sensor carries a connection head.
The sensing element is a platinum Pt100 (α = 0.00385) built into an Inconel 600 sheath for stability across the -65 to 160 °C operating range of the 916 version. Resistance is converted to temperature on ITS-90 with probe-specific coefficients stated on the calibration certificate. The LEMO connector carries the 4-wire measurement signal plus a memory chip that compatible JOFRA indicators read automatically, eliminating manual sensor data entry. The EH suffix denotes the accredited calibration certificate option.
