Overview

The Type T tester uses a re-entrant piston and cylinder assembly that applies test fluid to both the inside and outside of the cylinder. As pressure rises the clearance between piston and cylinder narrows, which reduces fluid leakage, extends float time and cuts the pumping needed to hold a reading.

The stainless steel and Monel construction, three-leg base with bulls-eye leveling and over-pressure protection let the tester survive daily shop use while still calibrating pressure gauges, relief valves and switches. A dual-volume pump fills the system quickly at low pressure and gives finer control at high pressure, and small incremental weight sets are available separately for fractional pressures.
