Overview
The PK II uses a floating-ball design in which a ceramic measuring ball floats in a nozzle, giving a self-regulating, friction-free pressure standard for laboratory or portable operation. The overhung weight carrier minimizes side thrust and keeps the ball vertical.
Weights are machined from non-magnetic 300 series stainless steel (SS models), and small incremental weights allow fractional output pressures. The tester has a thermal coefficient of 0.0000167 per °C and is available in local- or standard-gravity (980.665 gal) versions.
