Overview
The 1327D uses a 2-stage hydraulic pressure pump with an integral shuttle valve to generate test pressure, operating on SAE 20 automotive or machine oil with an aluminum alloy pump body and a reservoir of approximately 1.5 pints (0.7 liter). Buna-N O-ring seals are standard on the 1327D and 1327DO variants.
Each 4½ in Ashcroft 1082 test gauge is temperature compensated and supplied with its own calibration chart, and up to four gauges of different ranges can be mounted for a single comparator. The complete pressure generation unit and gauges are supplied in a single carrying case.
