Overview
The MegaPulse DF-1A.2 is Compliance West's surge tester for the AAMI DF-1 Figure A.2 lead connector electrical isolation test in Annex A, and it also reproduces the DF-4 Figure C.2 waveform. It automatically runs the first 490 of the standard's 500 ± 50 cycles, then pauses so laboratory personnel can monitor the final 10 cycles as required.
The test signal cuts off at 750 V / 18 ms as shown in the standard, with a 1.05 µs rise time, 18 ms duration and 500 Ω output impedance, and the MegaPulse DF-1P is capable of pulse output to 1500 V (optionally 2500 V). BNC voltage (100:1) and current (1 V/A) outputs feed an oscilloscope for waveform analysis, and a front-panel switch reverses polarity.
