Overview
The 1503 shares the compact form factor of the Fluke 1507 but with a reduced feature set, keeping the tests most electricians need at a lower cost. Live circuit detection inhibits the insulation test if terminal voltage above 30 V is present, and capacitive circuits are discharged automatically after the test.
A remote test probe shortens repetitive testing, and the large backlit display keeps readings visible in dim panels. The tester is rated CAT IV 600 V and runs on four AA alkaline batteries for at least 1000 insulation tests.
