Overview

The E4368A pairs the 2U E4360A mainframe with two E4362A high-voltage modules - 600 W, 130 V open-circuit and 5 A short-circuit per module. In SAS mode each output generates a 4,096-point internal I-V curve from Voc, Isc, Imp and Vmp parameters; Table mode plays user-defined curves of up to 4,000 points with 30 tables held in volatile and non-volatile memory; Fixed mode behaves as a standard 120 V / 5 A DC source.

Because each output responds quickly to I-V curve changes, the E4368A suits satellite power system checkout and residential photovoltaic inverter and optimizer testing, including MPPT, sequential shunt, series switch and direct-connection regulation topologies. The included 14360A System Control Tools drive up to 100 E4360 outputs from a single function call, and SCPI programming works over GPIB, LAN and USB with LXI Class C compliance. Full 1200 W output requires a 200-240 VAC supply; at 100-120 VAC the mainframe delivers 600 W.
