Overview
The Liquid Instruments Moku:Lab is a reconfigurable hardware platform that combines FPGA-based digital signal processing with low-noise analog front ends. Instead of buying separate boxes, you load professional-grade instruments onto the device through software: an oscilloscope, spectrum analyzer, arbitrary waveform generator, lock-in amplifier, laser lock box, frequency response analyzer, phasemeter, PID controller, data logger and more. Instruments can even run simultaneously in Multi-Instrument Mode, and firmware updates add new functionality without new hardware.
On the analog side, the Moku:Lab offers two 12-bit inputs sampling at 500 MSa/s with 200 MHz bandwidth into 50 Ohms, and two 16-bit outputs sampling at 1 GSa/s with bandwidth greater than 300 MHz. Connectivity includes Ethernet, Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n and USB, with a 16 GB SD card for data capture, and the unit is operated entirely from the Moku app on iPad, Windows or macOS. The disc-shaped, portable chassis weighs 1.69 kg and runs from a 12 V power module.
