Overview

The 230415 is the 0 to 4 kV AC model of the Megger (Biddle) AC high-pot tester line, designed for rapid production-line testing to current UL standards as well as development and maintenance testing. It performs a ground continuity check of three-wire devices with a high-voltage interlock, then applies continuously adjustable 0 to 4000 V AC to verify dielectric withstand, with output current limited to 12.6 mA.

A front-panel NEMA 5-15R three-prong receptacle powers the device under test, while recessed high-voltage connections and a zero-start/reset feature add operator protection. One-second or continuous test modes are selectable, the tester shuts down automatically on failure with visual and audible alarms, and it meets the UL 120-kΩ requirement. Input is 120 V AC, 1 A, 50/60 Hz.
