Overview

The 626900 ODO sensor is a user-replaceable digital smart sensor for the YSI ProDSS multiparameter handheld and cable assemblies. Because each sensor stores calibration data in its own memory, sensors can be swapped between ports or instruments without recalibrating, and the universal connector system accepts any ProDSS sensor in any housing port.

Dissolved oxygen is measured optically: a blue light excites a luminescent dye and the decay time measured by a photodiode is inversely proportional to the oxygen partial pressure at the sensing surface. The sensor offers 1- or 2-point calibration, operates to 100 m depth, is rated for -5 to 50 °C DO measurement, and carries a two-year sensor warranty with a one-year sensor cap.
