AccuMac AM1850-100 SPRT
Overview
The AccuMac AM1850-100 is a standard platinum resistance thermometer (SPRT) designed to interpolate temperature on the ITS-90 scale from -200 to 500 °C. It is widely used as the reference thermometer in secondary laboratories and as the standards probe for dry-well calibrators and stirred temperature baths.
The 480 mm probe uses an Inconel 600 sheath instead of quartz glass for better durability, with a special capsule that protects the platinum sensing wire from metal-sheath contamination at high temperature. All parts are cleaned and heat treated before assembly and the fill gas is controlled to minimize oxidation, keeping drift below 0.008 °C per year in typical use.
