AEMC 2620 Leakage Current Clamp Probe, 500 µA to 400 A, 4.4 in Jaw
Overview
The detector is a highly sensitive nickel alloy AC current transformer that locates insulation faults and leakage to ground on live circuits without shutting equipment down. It works on single, dual and three-phase networks and can clamp large or multiple conductors.
Accuracy is ±3% of reading ±1 mV at the low end of the 4 A range and ±0.35% of reading on the 400 A range, over 48 to 1000 Hz. The probe meets EN 61010-2-032 at 600 V CAT III, weighs 1.3 kg and operates from -10 to 55 °C.
Features
- Leakage or differential current from 500 µA
- Current up to 400 A continuous duty
- Two ranges: 4 A (1 mV/mA) and 400 A (1 mV/A)
- Large 4.4 in (112 mm) jaw opening
- Connects directly to DMMs on mV or VAC range
- Single, dual and three-phase networks
- 600 V CAT III, EN 61010-2-032
Applications
- Locating insulation breakdown and ground faults
- Leakage analysis on grounding conductors and ground loops
- Preventive maintenance on high current loads
