Overview

The Ametek Chatillon DMG-500 is a mechanical ergonomic force gauge (Job Task Analyzer) that objectively measures manual muscle strength and functional task requirements. With a 500 lbf capacity readable in 2.5 lbf increments, it records instantaneous push or compression and pull or tension forces on an easy-to-read concentric dial.

Accuracy is better than 0.5% of full scale. A peak force switch freezes the pointer at the maximum force so the reading can be recorded after the test, while the dial ring rotates 360 degrees for taring up to 10% of rated capacity. The intrinsically safe gauge requires no power and is supplied with a handle assembly for handheld operation, plus a NIST certificate of calibration with data.
