Overview

The Ametek Jofra STS100B500DH Probe is a JOFRA STS-100 series superior temperature reference sensor. The order code defines the B-type sensing element with 6.35 mm overall diameter, a 500 mm straight sensor length, and an accredited (ISO 17025) calibration certificate. STS-100 sensors cover -150 to 650°C, so a single probe can serve both cryogenic bath work and high-temperature dry-block calibration.

Inside the Inconel sheath, a pure platinum coil suspended to minimize stress gives near-zero hysteresis, and AMETEK's cleaning and clean-room assembly process keeps impurity-driven drift low even above 350°C. Each probe is annealed and certified, with the certificate checked against the drift between initial and final 0°C measurements. Repeatability is 0.002°C and long-term stability is typically 0.014°C after 100 hours at 650°C. The 6.35 mm diameter leaves room for the sensor-under-test in the same dry-block well while keeping the response fast, and the sensor is intended for use with JOFRA dry-block calibrators, liquid baths and DTI reference indicators.
