Overview
The Ametek MG DM-T-150-1L/C Deadweight Tester is a Type T hydraulic deadweight tester from Ametek's M&G (Mansfield & Green) line, designed to bring laboratory accuracy into industrial environments. This dual-column, dual-piston configuration covers two pressure ranges, 10 to 1,500 psi and 100 to 15,000 psi (to 1,000 bar), with 5 psi and 50 psi weight increments respectively, so range changes need no piston exchange. The -1L/C suffix indicates certification to local gravity with an accuracy of ±0.025% of the indicated reading.
Each tester features a re-entrant type measuring piston and cylinder assembly that reduces fluid leakage and increases float time, helping maintain accuracy as test pressures rise. Construction uses 300 series stainless steel and Monel with Buna-N O-rings standard (Viton and EPT optional), and the tester can run on a distilled water/alcohol mix or hydraulic oil as the pressure medium. A lever-actuated, dual-volume hydraulic pump generates pressure, and testers are manufactured to the International Standard Gravity or to a user-specified local gravity.
