Overview
The AM-140-A is Amprobe's TRMS precision digital multimeter for commercial-grade work: voltage ranges from 500 mV to 1000 V AC/DC, current from 500 µA to 10 A AC/DC, resistance to 50 MΩ, capacitance to 9999 µF, frequency to 200 kHz and duty cycle to 99.99%, with accuracy as good as ±(0.03% rdg + 2 LSD) on DC voltage.
Recording functions cover MAX, MIN and MAX-MIN plus crest (peak hold), and the meter adds relative zero, data hold, auto/manual ranging and a bright backlit display with a 42-segment bar graph updating up to 60 readings per second. An optically isolated PC interface, 4-20 mA DC loop current measurement and dBm readings with 20 selectable impedances extend it into process and measurement-bus work, with double insulation to IEC 61010-1 at CAT IV 600 V and CAT III 1000 V.
