Instek PEL-3031E Electronic Load

Overview

The Instek PEL-3031E Electronic Load belongs to the GW Instek PEL-3000E series of programmable single-channel DC electronic loads, sinking 300 W across a 1 to 150 V, 60 A operating envelope. Current sink operation starts from 60 mA, which suits low to medium power devices such as chargers, adapters and portable power products.

Seven operating modes are available: constant current, constant voltage, constant resistance, constant power, plus the combined CC+CV, CR+CV and CP+CV modes. A soft start function controls the rise time of the current sink, preventing inrush current and transient voltage drops on the device under test.

Testing is automated with battery discharge test control, OCP and OPP test automation, and sequence programming. The normal sequence covers step timings from 1 ms to 999 hours 59 minutes 59 seconds, while the fast sequence provides 25 us time resolution for the smallest step.
