Overview
The 8491A coaxial fixed attenuators use a thin-film resistive-card design that gives precision attenuation, flat frequency response and low SWR from DC to 12.4 GHz in a 50 ohm system. Attenuation values are stamped on the body at dc, 4, 8 and 12 GHz for permanent reference.
The four attenuators are furnished in a walnut accessory case. The report included with each 11581A set lists the measurement accuracy and the attenuation and reflection coefficient at each port, making the set suitable for leveled-signal, signal-dilution and mixer-local-oscillator isolation applications.
