Keysight 11852B/004 Minimum Loss Pad, 50 Ω N(m) to 75 Ω N(f), DC to 3 GHz

Overview

The 11852B is a minimum loss pad that matches 50 Ω and 75 Ω systems. It allows 50 Ω network analyzers, spectrum analyzers and signal generators to measure or drive 75 Ω devices such as CATV, video and broadcast components without the reflections an unmatched connection would cause.

The standard 11852B has a 50 Ω Type-N female and a 75 Ω Type-N male connector. Option 004 reverses the genders: a 50 Ω Type-N male connects directly to the instrument side, and a 75 Ω Type-N female accepts the 75 Ω device or cable.

Features

  • 50 Ω to 75 Ω (or 75 Ω to 50 Ω) impedance conversion
  • Option 004 connectors: 50 Ω Type-N (m) to 75 Ω Type-N (f)
  • Frequency range DC to 3 GHz
  • Typical insertion loss 5.7 dB
  • Instrument-grade construction for repeatable measurements

Applications

  • Testing 75 Ω CATV and video components with a 50 Ω network analyzer
  • Connecting 50 Ω signal sources to 75 Ω systems
  • Broadcast and cable TV equipment calibration
